About Us:
We were both born in rural mountain areas where the water is pure, the people are
friendly and the mountain peaks and skies stretch forever.
As young adults we ventured off to college, lived the crazy, congested life of city-dwellers working in corporate America. Eventually we came full-circle and relocated back to the rural landscape and lifestyle that is in our hearts and souls.
Having lived in a variety of larger metropolitan areas we have a love and appreciation for fine art, theater, good books, great music, shopping (just Karyn), fresh cuisine and fine wines. We brought with us our love of these things to our rural farm in northeast Oregon where we own and operate a sustainable plant nursery, organic pet cookie bakery and a fly fishing shop.
In our spare time when we are not working on the farm growing our plants or shipping them all over the United States, we constantly edit and add to our websites, keep our blogs fresh and active, supply fly fishing enthusiasts with hand tied flies and fly rods, fly fish ourselves, garden to our hearts content and enjoy the beautiful country we live in.

Stargazer Perennials, the farm of Farm Fresh Living is located at the base of the blue Mountains in eastern Oregon. Situated 16 miles north of La Grande, 55 miles south of Joseph, Oregon and 50 miles south of the wine country of Walla Walla , Washington, Stargazer Perennials is located in a USDA zone 5 gardening zone with sunny warm summers and cold, snow filled winters. Our weather is perfect for growing hardy perennials and hardy shrubs!
Eastern Oregon is a place of awesome beauty—from the majestic beauty and fierce rapids of Hells Canyon to the "Alps" of Oregon in the Wallowas, located adjacent to Joseph, Oregon an artisans town boasting world class bronze sculptures and art. The skies are wide and blue, and beautiful scenery unfolds around every bend in the road. Adventure awaits you.
Stargazer Perennials is a year around working sustainable farm and nursery that grows using only organic methods. On the farm we grow over 400 + varieties of cold hardy perennials, hardy roses, over 30+ varieties of hardy ornamental grasses, a wide selection of hardy shrubs, herbs, vegetables and much more!
Our mission is to produce a quality product in an environmentally responsible manner, educate interested gardeners about the benefits of growing using organic methods, promote rural sustainability and to live a healthy lifestyle. Since our inception we have continued to expand our product line and distribution to include our online plant nursery / garden store, our retail location at our farm in Summerville, Oregon and our booths at the Walla Walla, Washington farmers' market.
